Thin Ice is the 4th book in the Enter Darkness series. Not sure if this will make sense, but even though the runtime of this book is right around the same as the previous volumes in the series, this book ‘feels’ shorter, and more than like that is just because I ended up basically listening to this one straight through, lol. After surviving tragedy after tragedy, Brad is determined to track down his family before they fall into the hand of ‘The Family’, a crazy doomsday cult. Fawkes does a really good job of introducing us to a new character (no spoilers on who it is) and making us (or at least making me) really not like him. And while I think I’d have preferred a slower buildup to the climax, I have to say the very end of this book hits like a hammer, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

As always Andrew Wehrlen delivers a great performance and hopefully he’ll continue to narrate the series.

Please note that an earlier review reported that the chapters of the book were out of order. I can tell you that issue has been resolved and that all chapters are in the correct order.

I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
