while the first book was creative and laid a foundation for crafting and discovery in the apocalypse. This book slogs through the main character traveling finding new people fighting the local evil guy making them his serfs but in a good way and then repeat….for the entire book. nothing new is developed in the world, crafted or really in the story. I tried to push through to the end but gave up at the last hour when it repeated the same plot points again for the fifth or sixth time. this killed the series.
