Michael Head writing is very well crafted to be unique, thrilling and entertaining throughout. The unique part is how the MC begins his journey. In this novel, he is already a mighty cultivator but after a unforeseen betrayal works himself into a vengeful rage that kills himself and, unintentionally, masses of other people as well. If that wasn’t bad enough, his nuclear-like qi outburst ended up opening a gate to another evil realm allowing thousands of monsters called nox bent on twisting the entire realm in ways that would lead to the realm’s destruction.

Lucky for him, he was reincarnated by a wrathful god and given the daunting task of ridding the world of these monsters within a 400 year timespan. Unlucky for him, he was reincarnated as his 10 year old self with his previous master-level knowledge but at a very low cultivation level.

What occurs from there is a fascinating adventure of him acquiring friends and, together, them set on helping him on what seems to be an impossible task of finding and cleansing the world of these monsters.

I dropped the Story rating one star for the MC’s somewhat cavalier attitude at ending the lives of enemies he believed, probably correctly, would be a future existential threat to him if left to live, including teenagers.

Travis Baldree again convinced me to purchase this unknown-to-me author’s novel based solely on his well-earned narrating performance craftsmanship.
