Now 21 Presidents into my journey, another incredible story didn’t disappoint! It is truly remarkable to re-live these moments and each experience as it painted the world then and the world
to be. I am most intrigued by how this man navigated such an unexpected thrust into leadership. I am also intrigued by the machine he had been a part of in NY and the role that machine played in everything that occurred written and unwritten. The letters from Julia Sand definitely peaked my interest, which I will dive in deeper. Ultimately Chester Arthur seems to have put country over politics and for that, I applaud his life, his story, and his courage to be what this country needed in that fragile moment in history. Another incredible life and (unexpected) presidential story, that if you’re reading this review trying to decide whether or not to use a credit on this book, do it. Totally worth it!
