Underlord is a stand out book even in a series as beloved as this, It really feels like Lindon and everyone else in the main cast are given a chance to shine. While their story is as entertaining as I’ve come to expect from Cradle, the “villains” in this book really felt like they stood out. As a series it’s obvious that each book builds on the last, or at least that each book should ideally build on what has come before while also setting up what is to come. Not only does Underlord succeed at serving the series as a whole but it’s also a great read on it’s own.
