Author David Wood’s style of writing for the Dane Maddock adventures is a cross between Indiana Jones or National Treasure with juvenile (mild-sexual) humor similar to the Fast and Furious franchise. You’re going to either love it or hate it because it’s in every book. For me, well, it’s the perfect formula for great entertainment. Wood puts in his research and it shows as the the mysteries unfold taking the listener on a well-thought out journey. It’s a real ride!

The team of Kafer and Wood is perfect, IMHO. Kafer’s voice lends the right amount of machismo to bring the dynamic duo of Dane and Bones to life. I will happily listen to any audiobook voiced by Kafer.

In this adventure, Bones’ grandfather is assaulted and claims the intruders are after the family treasure. Dane and Bones are off to find the treasure which leads them to Africa. They band with a beautiful professor (of course) who proves to hold her own.

Mature content: mild language, mild violence (no sex)
