Good story line with well developed characters. I enjoyed the story and I felt it had real promise at the beginning. A Prepper family whose main motivating force(Father) has passed away in an auto accident leaving the family to deal with an event that they thought would never happen.

The Mom is with her mother who is ill and her father who is in denial. The Daughter who is in route home and had a stopover in Chicago and the son who is on a field trip away from home. In the middle of all that an EMP hits taking out most of the country. The Daughter laments the fact that she ignored most of her father’s teaching. The Son who paid attention but lacks the motivation to follow the lessons he was taught. The mother is isolated from her children and has her hands full with her parent’s issues. All of them now have to rely on what they were taught to make their way back home.

It’s a good story and if you are willing to overlook some of the inconsistencies, its very enjoyable.

The only part that I felt detracted from the story is that Maddie (the daughter) who supposedly ignored her father’s lessons seems to continually pull knowledge up that she wasn’t supposed to have.

Kevin Pierce did another Fantastic job. With his experience with the genre, he gets all the technical jargon that other narrators stumble over.

This is a good story to add to you Post Apocalyptic story library.
