whats with the LitRPG recommendation on this one?
I’m no liberal, but the Slaver with a heart of gold really?
This might have been set up as a necessary evil forced upon the protagonist, but nope, slavery is awesome cause it gets him what he wants.
He’s so kind and generous to his slaves and they love him for it, yet he’s pure of heart enough not to take advantage of the beautiful women just throwing themselves at his feet.
So noble, yet puts people in a wood chipper without compunction.
Some interesting world building, that unfortunately goes into overpowered Mary Sue wish fulfilment towards the end.
I don’t need my protagonist to be a pure shining white night, but if he’s so utterly reprehensible that I can’t relate to him , it sucks enjoyment out of the book.
Even awaken online was better for all its similar problems.
