It took me awhile to start the series. As although it came highly recommended, reading the plot synopsis made it seem a bit too absurd for my general liking. I was very wrong. I blazed through all of the audio books within a week and a half. The world and characters are top notch, seeming like actual people with believable personalities. The series is fantastic in that it can often make me laugh out loud, and seems very light hearted at points. But it also has moments that are very dark, With the deaths of friends and. People dealing with the trauma of losing everything or having to make decisions no one should ever have to make. This book continues the high quality I have come to expect, and after finishing it today, I cant wait for the next one. The narrator does amazing as always, with soundbooth theatre having some of the best voice and effect work I have heard in any series. After finishing the Eye of the Bedlam Bride. Dungeon Crawler Carl has become my second favorite series of all time. Losing out only to the Malazan series, and knocking the Stormlight Archives, and The first Law trilogy down a peg..I can not recommend the series more!
