The performance is well done. The reader really adds a lot to the title.
The book is fine. A 3.5-4 star effort, especially as a first effort. The characters are interesting if a little stereotypical. The plotline is also fairly typical. Outcaste gets special power and goes to school. The game elements are minimal and not very structured. I would have kept going, but there aren’t anymore books in this series or by the author. It’s been 4 years, so don’t hold your breath.
