I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
It took me a while to listen to the entire collection, but I’m glad I did. Chase is a very likable character with a personality that people want to hate and love at the same time. Far from being perfect, he still manages to become a 007 figure, always resourceful and with hoards (need I say it?) of exotic and beautiful women who are ready to fall on his feet (and his bed). And don’t let’s forget that these women are also extremely skilled and intelligent. Lucky him, right? I can feel the envy of you guys out there… and yet… he is not perfect with his broken marriage, a penchant for getting involved in dangerous situations that invariably bring him to the most far away lands, his fiery personality that is not always well received. That said there is a force that seems to like him well enough to protect him in every situation.
Listening to all of the different books, I did notice a repetition of some of the expressions and sometimes even situations, but this fact didn’t take away from the narrative.
The narration was superb and I did truly enjoy the series. I’m sure you will also if you like the double agent genre.
