it starts really really well off But there is a lot of under the table set up that pull you out of the story, there’s a lot of subterfuge used that isn’t needed and pull you away for something that has no real meaning or payoff .
the writing is good when it’s focused on the main character. But he writes neo up to be like EA that does everything to worm out of stuff and this is after all the praise they get about being helpful etc.
note to the author focus on world building it’s fine to drop hints but your dropping whole plot lines that probably won’t be used. PS a company could never legally leave someone trapped or barbecue your brain and pin it on someone else that’s just fcking stupid.
