An interesting take on the genre performed exceptionally.

This book combined familiar elements – an orphan protagonist, mage academy, shadowy conspiracies, etc. – in a refreshing way. The performance by the cast was exceptional, as was the music and sound effects. A great experience from start to finish. I was even blown away by how intricately and hilariously well done the end credits were. I’m looking forward to the sequel this fall.
