It was a nice change from the usuall to have a scifi book with no hostile aliens. The whole series is quite interesting, with some minor issues. For me it would be much better if it was less affected by modern political movements, mostly feminism. It gets somewhat predictable when only men posess any negative traits. Especially when the people arround the protagonist are mostly women.
