this book is far more a critique of capitalism than an examination of something that could replace it. The faults of capitalism are detailed in depth, but the proposed replacement (WSDE’s) are effectively glossed over. this book was recommended to me by an entrepreneur pursuing this model and even as someone who is very open to this idea I was turned off. The author can’t go more than two paragraphs without flinging and insult at capitalism. WE GET IT, He spends well over half the book talking about how terrible capitalism is and then when starting to discuss how a WSDE could operate and avoid the pitfalls he has excruciatingly detailed, those details are just handwaved away. I expected a book coming from the perspective of a practitioner, someone out there who understands realities of starting a business from scratch, or at least maintaining an existing one, this felt like pure academic theory.
