Regardless, LOVE that it’s a clever protagonist. Far too often xianxai/wuxia are power trips who bowl their way through the story with their nose in the air all the time, but this one is clever, quick, creative and brave. It was fun listening to him.
As much as the setting has always fascinated me, I’m usually turned off by the characters themselves. Even western fanfiction harem sues are more personable. but not here. I mean, the whole underdog thing is a little overplayed, but hey…
