I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin.
Cain is the second book I’ve listened to in this series. The narrator, again, here, did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. The book is only 61 pages long, but she read it in a little over 2 hours. Lots of expression and pauses. 5 stars. Well done.

Now, the story is a little shallow and not very believable. It does touch your heartstrings and you want to see Angel and the kids find safety and love. There is violence and triggers. A short entertaining read. 3.5 stars.
