For a book to be enjoyable, an author must have an engaging story, likeable characters, and appropriate pacing. With an audiobook, the additional element of the narration experience comes into play.

I will admit, after looking at the cover and reading the summary, I was incredibly skeptical that I was going to enjoy this book.

An hour into listening, and all of those doubts were put to rest. The protagonist is relatable, likeable, and it’s easy for the listener to root for him. The other characters are well fleshed out and complex.

The actors playing each part did an excellent job of portraying their characters, and the different voices made for an incredibly immersive and engaging experience.

With plenty of lampshading, self-referential humor, and, of course, the action and sex that listeners love, Cherry Blossom Girls is definitely worth your time to listen to.
