There are a lot of cozy mysteries out there, most of them following the pattern of a private sleuth being almost forced into a murder investigation to save someone close to them from false accusations… While this is also true about “Traitorous Toys”, the book has enough humour, enough mystery and enough twists and turns in the plot to make it a really enjoyable listen:)

The characters are interesting and well-written, with all the quirks and features that make them recognizable and believable; the plot is really fast-paced, with the investigation taking turns quite a few times; and Watson, the corgi, is an icing on the cake:)

Narration by Ms Hickman is very good; the character’s voices make them distinguishable, both female and male very well done, and the emotions are aptly conveyed throughout the whole story. A very good interpretation of the book.
