These 2 books aren’t what you are expecting. There is a lot more gore and violence than in the first 2. Yes people are mad the book was left on a cliffhanger but honestly, cliffhangers are made to continue a story and keep you invested

Going into detail, these books build a lot more of Arthur and his friend’s characters. Fleshing out the main characters and adding a lot of new characters.

It also adds more depth to the story and how important and powerful Arthur truly is.

SPOILERS…

A few things I disliked was that it seems that the author really pushed to have lots of action back to back with no real downtime. I mean within the first day of school author defeats his practical magics teacher, becomes the new teacher of the class, then is severely injured in another fight 3 hours later in a different class.

Also, Arthur only teaches his class 2 times while it seems that he skips a lot of school and also he is at the school for what seems to be around a month or 2.

Furthermore, in the final fight scene, we get a lot of different perspectives of different characters. Almost too many and we don’t get an explanation of how Arthur knew to come to the fight which while I’m writing this figure it will be in the next book.

All and All I really enjoy this series and while these 2 books didn’t reach the expectations of the first 2. I’m sure they will be building blocks for what comes next in the story

P.S. I love the narrator of these books. He has a fantastic voice and the way he changes it for each character really makes the story even better to listen too.

Thank You all for this amazing series and I am very excited to see how it continues.
