I wasn’t blown away but it might just be because zombies are a saturated genre. The characters were at time a little one dimensional. At one point there was a comment about all the female leaders emerging but the characters they were referring to were emotionally fragile to the point it didn’t make sense that they were leaders. But this is a minor issue.

I did enjoy the story. Several times I found myself putting off daily tasks that would require me to pause the book. The take on zombies is fairly original. The plot takes a lot of unexpected twists and you can tell the author put an extraordinary amount of thought into the minutia of this world. At 50 hours of compelling story, you can’t beat the value of this book if you like action/horror.
