I loved this story – compelling, with a healthy (or maybe heavy-handed?) dose of technical discussion on topics like economic incentives and glaciology in places. I loved the arc and the way the novel tracked from the human to the scientific and ultimately back to the human narrative associated with a near-term dystopia.
The one major flaw was the execution by the voice actors – not sure how thoroughly this was edited, but there were so many mispronounced words, inconsistent pronunciations within the same chapter of the same word (by the same narrator!) and it became somewhat distracting. I also wasn’t a fan of the accents – some came off as caricatures and others were just bad approximations.
All in all, a book that deserves a better recording.
