I truly didn’t know what to expect from the second book in this duet. In this book we get a glimpse into the aftermath of what went down in book one, and I think this author did an amazing job!
I appreciated that she didn’t make it all sunshine and roses, and she gave us a realistic take on the situation. Will’s addiction gets hinted at and book one, but we see it in full force with this book. I really love what the author gave us in this book, how she builds up the relationship, helped them grow to know each other on a deeper level, and learned how to truly survive as a couple.
As with the first book, the narration on the audio was amazing! The female narrator truly helped me grasp the emotions of these characters and considering it’s a highly emotional book, I appreciated that.
