Franklin Horton is one of the best in the PA business. His series are always consistently great, with believable plots and characters. And the way the characters are intertwined is unique with each series. This book centers on Jim, his former co-workers, and their families. This book highlights the disintegration of former co-worker Randie, who’s family life was shattered with the deaths of her parents and brothers. So, looking for some security, she seeks out Jim and his offer of a safe place to stay. With as always, interesting results. Nothing is stable in this world, and Horton FULLY encapsulates the ever engulfing chaos of life after an EMP, without going over the top. It’s just real.
Kevin Pierce is spot on perfect, and as real as it gets. His voice gives every story grounding. Now on to the next book!
