This book was suggested in a reader group and after reading the blurb, I was thrilled to give it a go. First let me say the narration is on point. Joel Leslie did a fantastic job. The story started strong for me set against this creative backdrop of art, writing and music. Ben and Vinnie’s relationship, though a bit insta-love was beautiful in many ways. It was obvious they cared for one another, but then they simply stopped communicating without the author really explaining why and Ben shouldering all the blame. Then throw in some unnecessary drama and this book had be DNfing with about 15% left.
