Gang I am BEGGING you to be so for real. This book is SO good. It’s not filler, and it’s not all the same stuff as the first book.

The dynamic has been entirely changed between Valroy and Abigail. All of a sudden, Valroy doesn’t have instant access to her. He is forced to contend with her absence. In turn, Abigail is forced to contend with Valroy’s. They are given the chance to miss each other and that alone is interesting enough. But on top of that, Abigail finds herself on more equal footing with Valroy. She now has stronger powers and a deeper understanding of Tir n’Aill and how it functions. PLUS we get more development for side characters from the first book! Just because not every scene is a spicy one DOES NOT MEAN nothing interesting happens!

Also ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Joel Froomkin is an absolute treasure and delight and I will not hear otherwise! He is so so talented and his ability to differentiate characters through voice alone is a thing of beauty! No, Valroy doesn’t sound like a twenty something e-boy. You know who he DOES sound like???? David Freaking Bowie as Jareth in Labyrinth, which may I remind you, IS THE POINT.

This book is amazing, this series is amazing, and I will not tolerate anymore Joel Froomkin SLANDER.
