Will Wight isn’t just one of the best fantasy indie authors out there. He’s one of best fantasy authors period and can hang with anyone backed by a big publishing house. What I really appreciate about his writing is that he doesn’t waste words, sentences, scenes or chapters. Everything counts. There’s no rambling, no snore inducing lulls in the story. He’s concise, yet still provides ample character development, back story and seamless perspective changes.
The Cradlle series is an addictive listen. It has the feel of an anime but with the depth of a great book. The characters are stark and unique, and the plot is killer. Travis Baldree brings the story and characters to life flawlessly. Please note that I’m not a huge fan of fantasy, anime or one genre. I just love good books, especially a good series. This one is awesome.
