instead of their proclamation, why didnt they just keep the gems and not go see the king?? was pretty much pointless except to get on his bad side and to lead into another book, but still, could’ve done so without it. hey, we have what u want but we’re not giving it to you. we just wanted you to praise us in front of the kingdom and look a fool. we dont expect any backlash…..
