This was really kind of silly.
I didn’t feel any kind chemistry between Lucius and Tallulah, but the sex scene went on and on, until Tallulah went crazy after Lucius called her by another woman’s name. Yeah, I can’t see that working out in his favor.
This could have been a decent paranormal book, but it wasn’t. There was just something missing.
AND if there’s one thing I CANNOT STAND it’s an author who says “tears and SNOT” were streaming down her face. IMO that’s totally disgusting, and something you can’t un-read. It’s enough she’s crying why does she have to have snot added to the tears. That happened at 85% and I was tempted to stop reading this silly story, but I soldiered on and finished. I won’t be reading anything else by this author, I don’t care how many 5 star reviews she has.
There was no swearing in this but a drawn out and silly sex scene. This author doesn’t really know how to write a sex scene. Sorry.
As to the narration: I would NOT want to listen to Jeffery Hutchins again. I’ve heard some men who do terrible voices for the women but his was the worst. The only reason he got 3 stars was because his men’s voices were great and he did read with emotions occasionally.
