The media is being silent, but people everywhere are becoming sick, and dropping like flies. After burying those closest to you what would you do? Mike Sheridan weaves several great tales of what people from various walks of life could do when the apocalypse happens. You follow a college student, corporate big wig, convicted armed robber, deputy sheriff and an irish couple on vacation during these trying times. Sheridan’s prose envelope you in each of their stories and slowly starts to bring them all together. While the main focus of the story is the drama created by the apocalypse Kevin Pierce does a fantastic job narrating the quick action scenes that keep you on your toes through the book. While this book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review, I honestly do not have much negative to say about it.
The one piece that disappointed me is at the end you are left with a cliffhanger, but I am assuming that is why there are other books in the series.
