Would you try another book from Jay Allan and/or Jeffrey Kafer?
I’ve read and listened to a good many space opera stories and when they are good, they are very engaging and believable. This is not a believable. The descriptions of battle in space defy all known logic and physics. The character development is rudimentary at best. I will admit I dropped into the story by starting here in book 3 first but that is due to some poor advertisement from Audible recommending a book that on the mobile page didn’t make it clear it was #3 of a series :/ If they had a clue, they would flag the book asking the listener if they really wanted to start at Book X since they don’t have a record of you listening to the earlier ones.
