Wow, this book is dark and gritty and has a very dark, dominant, ruthless, sinful anti-hero and his equally debauched band of brothers with Alexius at the head of the Dark Sovereign all-powerful society. And innocent Leander gets pulled into his world with an offer she can’t refuse of a six month fake marriage that’ll end her empty stale life of powerless poverty and toxic memories. Alexius’ dying father’s demand will change the monster.. well errr no on reflection it doesn’t because he’s still a monster.. but he becomes consumed, possessive, protective and steamy jealous if another man is near his woman. Their ride is rocky and paved with lust, dark pleasures, emotional hurdles and a strong toxic push and pull that awakens something in Leander as she rises up to become his Queen. There’s also a sinister and bloody gruesome attack directed at the family.. and so far the body count at one of their Sex Clubs is 2.. 2 too many for these very dangerous brothers. But this is aTRILOGY folks and the third book isn’t out until sometime NEXT YEAR so I strongly suggest that if you are tempted you still hold back as I wish I’d known before getting instantly sucked into this depraved and delicious world of the dark villain and the damaged virgin who makes him roar.
Worth a credit? Yes definitely.. but only if you like dark chills and thrills, h-h-hot steamy sex, an alpha sex-fuelled anti-hero torn by rage and awakened new feelings.. and your not afraid of blood. Because the great narration by Stefanie and Michael made each rollercoaster chapter come to life – the good, the bad and the very ugly.. you have been warned!!
