I was skeptical bc I’ve read plenty of books with a similar premise that were pretty lack luster, but this is a surprisingly good book and good series. I have listened to all three books available on audible and have started reading the fourth on Kindle and ngl I don’t know if I have ever consumed the entire series of a smutty romance like this before.
The world building is actually fantastic. The characters are rich and interesting. The environment and story draws you in. It left me wanting to know more about the world and my spouse and I will actually suddenly turn to each other randomly with questions or thoughts about the series like “hey, do you think this will happen to this character?” or “if their culture is like this, what does it mean about this other thing?” it really is awesome world building. The narration is 10/10 for sure. He’s got a distinct voice for all of the dozen characters throughout the series. The world building is so good, I would read more stories set in it. My only critique is that the prose can be a bit lack luster at time, especially in carter’s perspective. But the overall story can make up for that. I am genuinely excited to see where the story goes. As far as silly alien mpreg stories goes, this is hands down the best I have found.
