I have been through a number of LitRPGs/cultivation and generally enjoy the progression and continuity to listen through a so so story. This first book in the series actually has a deep story with a number of pivots and turns that keep the story interesting and refreshing. The progression doesn’t scale itself out of alignment and there are multiple layers of scale resets that make the stories fresh.
Performance is spot on as well, stat readings don’t happen too often, so this is generally 30 hours of story. Great book. My only worry is that book 2 and 3 continue to deliver on a story I am invested in.
