Action-packed cuming of age story with many twists

Interesting turn of phrase and vivid imagery.
Plentiful homosexual male sex scenes although they get a little repetitive by the end.
Low medical and modern physics literacy.

Narrator is excellent at differentiating the different characters’ voices, but the “Southern American” does not sound quite right to this Southerner’s ears.
