Gritty with immediate action. Lots of running, fighting and gore. Not for the delicate reader.
In the first three minutes we have -busy elbows and noisy hands- ! It’s everything a zombie apocalypse should be.
Unlike some apocalypse novels this narrator is on point. He has a rich versatile tone. He portrays the right emotions for the right circumstances and is very engaging. Many such novels have been ruined due to a monotonous boring narrator. No annoying speech twinges or chronic stage whisper going on here.
The story and narrator made this a great story. I will look for more of their work.
I guess the free reads automatically come with a sleeping bored narrator or no editors.
I finally gave up and used a credit- it was well spent on this book.
