Wow! This book is non-stop. The imagery in the story was fantastic. I loved how Jeffrey Kafer was able to put so much emotion into his performance and keep you on pins and needles with the sea monster. This book kept me interested throughout the story and I loved the unexpected twists. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it without trying not to give away spoilers. David Wood is a very talented author and has a great writing style. I thought the characters were well developed and I was captivated by the actual history he infuses into this book (and other stories he writes). His realistic details regarding diving were also spot on. There is so much to this book in regards to some of the what-if’s, could it be possible, etc. I loved it!! This book is a standalone listen and not part of any series that I am aware of. I highly recommend this thrilling listen.
