I think what I liked most about these two books (along with the other Chase Baker book I have listened to) is the absolute audacity, the humongous brass ba**s of the main character, Chase baker, He comes up with crazy plans that you wind up believing in, just because they are so crazy. A sane plan would never work, because the opponent will also think of the same thing. You have to think crazy to win, and Chase Baker both thinks crazy and wins (but his friends and comrades don’t always fare so well.

There was no need to read these in order. Zandri does an excellent job of starting fresh in each of these stories.
