I have no negative words to say about this delightful book. It was sweet, through and through. The main characters were lovable, and I adore the way they were first best friends, and just so obviously meant for eachother. Yes, this was a dose of fluff, but it was queer fluff, and beautifully set in the frame of 1959 New York, where things could have just as easily gone very wrong for these lovely men.
At first, I thought the narration was a tad too snarky, but as the story went on, at some point I realized that the narrator’s voice had shifted from bitter and sarcastic to hopeful, just like this beautiful lovestory changed the lives of Nick and Andy.
What else can I say? I loved everything about this book. If you need to lighten up your day, read this book.
