I’ve listened to the first three books so far. A glorious story that combines some of the best aspects of the following stories: Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (world is suddenly destroyed); Ready Player One (the main characters get to play a “digital” version of themselves – video game style); Hunger Games (survivors pitted against one another and impossible odds with little chance of winning or maintaining one’s humanity); with a strong dose of Dungeons and Dragons and similar game styles and monsters.
One of my very first thoughts about the story is “What if, sometime after the middle of the series our main characters die and we get pulled into the storyline of another character?”
It would 100% reinforce the fact that no character in this story has plot armor.
Warning: Lots of language, irreverent, offensive, and indecent dialogue is splattered (pun intended) throughout.
