there were a lot of elements in this book that were really great. there were often times when some background sounds would slowly build and add to the tone of the events. sometimes I would start to look around me in anticipation and then come to realize it was the book. there was a feeling of a generic version of dungeon born story elements throughout the book but towards the end, it started to come into it’s own. I really enjoyed the ending and look forward to the rest of the story.
