A very good outline of Lincoln’s life and presidency. The author warns of the tendency to canonize Lincoln and then gradually throughout the book does just that. However that is completely understandable. The story highlights many of the lesser known aspects of his life and public service. My only criticism would be that the author seems to downplay ant evolution in Lincoln instead arguing that he was at the right place all along. That may be true in some respects but not all. One of the most admirable qualities Lincoln displayed was his willingness to learn, adapt and grow. Highly recommend this book.
