This is an extremely sweet MMM, friends to lovers, with a GFY thrown in on the side. After Seb’s breakup with his long time partner, he and his two BFFs wind up going camping. They get a little tipsy, and Seb ends up kissing each of the other two; but, they both kiss him back, too.

Matt has always identified as straight, so he is confused. Especially when Seb makes an off-hand offer that Matt gives serious consideration. He decides to talk to Connor, the other of the three, to get some idea of what he is thinking.

He learns that Connor has been interested in both Matt and Seb for a while, but due to more personal reasons, he has denied himself even the dream of ever having a relationship.

The three work well together with the differences in their experience levels to make sure everyone is comfortable. A bit of family drama comes into play, but the angst doesn’t take over the story. However, when Seb is offered an opportunity that could change his life, the other two support him, and they are all faced with change.

The denouement of the story is fairly dramatic, but not necessarily a big surprise. It does hit you in the feels, so be prepared for a tear or two. However, the author keeps the tone positive and the characters optimistic after the shock has worn off, so the story remains a nice and easy listen. And, of course, our boys get their HEA.

I think the narrator did a fantastic job with this audiobook. The characters are well differentiated, the tone and emotions come through clearly, and the pace was constant throughout. I have around two to three male narrators I enjoy who have beautiful accents. Mr. Ryman has now been added to that list.

Happy listening!
