I just listened to this whole book in one go. Though I usually put my current audiobook away while not driving or working in my shop, I just couldn’t stop with this one.
This is another backstory book for one of OM’s crew that works its way to their present, much like Return of the Archon. It’s fascinating and gripping, and the whole 9-hour book was over before I knew it.
Like the rest of the series, it keeps the themes of loyalty and friendship among the team at the forefront. This book isn’t as funny as many of the other books in the series, but don’t think I’m saying that as a negative. It’s still Omega Force, and it’s awesome. Joshua Dalzelle gives us a look at the serious side of Omega Force and what they do, and I feel he shows serious talent and some bravery in doing so.
Paul Heitsch IS the voice of Omega Force. He continues to be outstanding as he revives existing characters and introduces new ones. I cannot imagine anyone else narrating the series.
Anyone who, like me, is absolutely addicted to the Omega Force series is going to love this audiobook.
