Carrie Gress does a great job of explaining where we have been, where we are, and how to get to where we want to be as female followers of Christ. Some stories about the history of radical feminism in our culture were eye-opening, to say the least. I appreciated that she is not unrealistic or unreasonable in her practical suggestions about how to bring about positive, Christ-centered change to our broken and diseased culture. I would recommend this book to all women, but, of course, especially Catholic ones. Having been raised in this toxic culture, we are all, whether we realize it or not, guilty to some extent of perpetuating at least some of the abnormal hypersensitivity to all things woman. We have been given the great gift of faith, but, with it, comes responsibility. I am inspired to act and hope you will be too!
