If you like mechs, A lot of fast-paced action, a strong character driven story, you’ll enjoy this book. I found the characters real and believable from the captain on down to the Mac pilots. The story also provided you with a thought provoking quandary, no spoilers. What I did not like, is the same old same old as ship going into a system and becoming disabled. For once I would like to see a ship travel into a new system that is brand-new state-of-the-art and then run into problems on the planet side all and all this is an excellent first book, filled with action, humor, and characters that you will like and cheer for. Unfortunately the narrator does not do women’s voices very well. Besides that I suggest you give this book a try I think you will enjoy it.
