This book is short, and for the most part, sticks to the little bubble it lives in, but here and there the author sprinkles in tidbits of the outside world and what may have happened before the events of the story began.
This both piques interest and confuses. Where is the focus? Is this a tale about survival of a small band of folks, or something larger? In the end, I don’t feel as if either is properly done, which is a shame as there were some decent characters here, and the world event that caused their predicament could have also made for an interesting tale.
