Considering two of the MC’s are essentially Australian gang members and cops that work outside the law, this is a surprisingly sweet story about three people finding unexpected love with each other. I haven’t read any books featuring a throuple, but this is a good one. the characters are multi-layered and well thought out, the relationships feel real, although the gang members are a bit fantastical at times in how utopian their organization seems, but overall it’s a fun listen. I wasn’t fond of the narrators switching back and forth. It made the voice acting a bit disjointed since they both had different interpretations for the same character. Also, the difference in their narration styles were difficult to switch back and forth from. at some points I had to raise the volume and at other points I had to lower the volume and I even felt at times as the narrator switched back and forth that I should increase or decrease the speed of the audible because of the duration of pauses between sentences. However, even considering that this book is still well done and I’d recommend listening if you get a chance. It’s a good time.
