Beneath The Stars by Emily McIntire is a small town second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell. This is the first book in the Sugarlake Series.
The Book does come with a caution “Beneath the Stars is a full-length, interconnected standalone that features strong language, explicit sexual scenes and mature situations which may be considered triggers for some. Reader discretion is advised.”
This is the first book of Emily’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship between Chase and Alina. Their relationship was a roller coaster but you couldn’t help but root for them. I loved getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Beneath The Stands is released on audio so I can get Becca and Eli’s story.
Sarah and Steve did an amazing job on the narration! They both really know how to bring a story to life. I could feel the emotions that Chase and Alina were going through.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romance.
