Alpha shifter Nash is an unabashed playboy businessman with problems, and Omega shifter Holden his forgotten one-time hookup and fated mate. With the hurt and shame of this unintended rejection looming over them, their relationship gets off to rocky start that’s followed by plenty of passion and tests of their love and commitment. Their family-centered HEA (there’s Mpreg) is hard-won and satisfying, though I do wish time had been devoted to Nash overcoming substance abuse given its massive importance in the storyline.
This was my first trip to Blackwater but I had no issues following along. Narrator Austin Jay delivered a solid performance that made for an enjoyable listen. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.
